Our Work Dynamite's Mission Blogsite

Digital media has the power to reach people around the world in a way no media before it has been able to do.  It provides an opportunity to not only disseminate information but engage and interact directly with the audience.  That was the point of this blogsite, to get young people aware of the HIV issues happening at policy level but also engage on the issue of the need to scale up the prevention response to HIV.  MTV’s VJ Vanessa Mdee joined forces with UNAIDS to travel to two high level meetings in Mali and South Africa to listen first hand to the concern of youth activists as well as interviewing some of the key leaders in the global response to the epidemic.  The blog was used as a tool to reach other young people not attending the conferences to inform them and educate them through Vanessa’s personal experiences at these events.
